Choices for a large frame optic ready slide are slim. The slide itself is great. No complaints. The uncaptured recoil spring is a pain and should be substituted immediately for a captured one. And the lower review is also for the wrong safety plunger being sent that worked by didn’t do it’s job as a safety plunger. I contacted them and they identified the problem and said they would send another. Never got it. Ordered one off another website along with and captured recoil spring. TLDR; Buy the good slide, not the bad parts.

I haven’t test fired it yet but everything went together fine. Tolerances are tighter than I like in a defensive pistol, but I’m confident everything will “break in” fine. Good part at a fair price.

  3. Ray

The quality to top-notch. I like the bullnose on front and the RMR cut fits the SwampFox Kingslayer perfectly. I highly recommend this slide to anyone building a Polymer80 PF45. I would buy from RockBrass again.

Like a few other reviewers, this is not the first slide to ride my Polymer80 ACP build. As is the case now, Glock 21 type slides were hard to find when I did my build, so I purchased what I could get. The only good thing was the price, but boy, did I get what I paid for. Each time out, the first magazine would have one or two shots after which the slide failed to go into battery. The problem got worse with the second magazine. I tried changing recoil springs, every a recoil spring guide. I polished the shark fin. I had built with a rounded safety plunger, but I still tried different springs for that. Finally I put the gun up and tried to forget about it. Recently my son announced this slide was again available, so I ordered one. Amazing! I’ve been out three times, and no shots have been followed by failure to battery. Today we put seven or eight magazines through, so the gun warmed up, tolerances adjusted, but it still worked 100%. I am truly relieved and happy!

I’m overall very pleased with my 21 ces slide. It arrived very quickly and functions perfectly. It’s buttery smooth compared to my other aftermarket slides. The only problem I have is that it probably could have used another application of the coating. There are multiple spots where the finish flakes off in very small specks and leaves a bare stainless spot. It’s aesthetic only. And so far is not a big deal. I just hope it doesn’t get too much worse over time. I struggled to find a slide though, so I’m willing to live with a few blemishes

  7. Adrian Arriaga

Very good quality slide, feels very sturdy and looks amazing. It came looking very fresh and new. I love how it came nice and fully oiled up.

I ordered this slide to replace a cheap eBay slide I’d previously purchased. The design and finish feels like an OEM Gen 5 slide, which I like. When I began to assemble the slide, the first thing I noticed was how the channel liner was actually a tight fit (the way it’s supposed to be), that’s was great because the cheap slide I had purchased before had a loose channel liner, and that can create issues. With exception to the channel liner area, I lightly polish every other surface that has metal/metal contact (not through the finish, just enough to catch/identify any burrs, make sure things are smooth). I was happy to find no issues. All my OEM and aftermarket parts fit exactly as they should. On the cheap eBay slide, my AlphaWolf threaded barrel had some play when the slide was fully closed. Not enough to be a safety issue, just a wiggle reminiscent of my old beat up Beretta M9 from the military. I was very happy when I found the Rockey Precision CES slide resolved that issue with much better/tighter tolerances. First I tested this slide on my Gen 3 Glock frame, worked great. Next I put it on my Polymer80 PF45 frame and again, flawless.

The slide arrived faster than expected. The quality is very good. the finish is clean. Good value. It opens more doors for outfitting my build as designed. Will buy another one as soon as I finish this build.

  10. JOHN

Nice slide, good value when you factor in the milling and the quality of the finish.

  11. John Okeefe

Very nice slide for the price
